Newark ATEX LED Floodlight

The Newark LED floodlight provides Marine Approved LED area lighting for hazardous marine environments. In practice, typical applications include shipyards, offshore installations, and industrial vessel areas. In addition, the luminaire supports use in explosive atmospheres. As a result, it meets requirements for both gas and dust hazardous zones.

The product range includes 150 W, 200 W, and 240 W versions. Accordingly, these variants deliver a luminous flux from 22,500 lm to 36,000 lm. At the same time, the system achieves an efficacy of up to 150 lm/W at 5000 K. The floodlight uses LED 3030 light sources. Furthermore, it supports color temperatures from 2000 K to 6500 K. Optionally, the system also offers Red, Green, Blue, and Amber outputs.

The electrical system operates on 100–277 Vac at 50/60 Hz. Therefore, it supports a wide range of vessel power systems. The design achieves a power factor above 0.90. In addition, a constant current driver controls output stability. To protect the system, integrated surge protection provides 10 kV line-to-line and 10 kV line-to-earth protection.

The housing uses a low-copper aluminum alloy with less than 0.4 percent copper content. As a result, the construction limits corrosion risk. A polycarbonate optical lens protects the LEDs. Moreover, the powder-coated surface improves durability. The enclosure achieves IP66 ingress protection and IK08 impact resistance. Therefore, it performs reliably in marine environments exposed to vibration, moisture, and salt.

The design separates the LED module from the driver compartment. This separation improves heat dissipation. Consequently, it supports longer service life. The floodlight operates in ambient temperatures from −40 °C to +65 °C. Finally, the product includes a 5-year warranty.

The Newark LED floodlight holds IECEx and ATEX certifications. Specifically, these approvals cover gas and dust hazardous zones. The luminaire supports bracket mounting as standard. Additionally, optional accessories include wire guards and glare shields.
