The Primus RX105 Marine Hardmount Washer-Extractor is a compact professional washing machine with a 10.5 kg nominal capacity, rigid-mounted construction and a 105-litre stainless steel drum. The Primus RX range is suitable for marine applications, making the RX105 a practical solution for onboard laundries where reliability, efficient use of space and dependable daily performance are essential.

Its heavy-duty construction combines durable components with efficient extraction, practical operator access and flexible control options. As a result, the RX105 provides professional washing performance while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for space-conscious laundry installations.

10.5 kg Professional Washing Capacity

The RX105 provides a nominal washing capacity of 10.5 kg at a 1:10 loading ratio and handles up to 12 kg at a 1:9 loading ratio.

Its stainless steel inner drum has a volume of 105 litres and a diameter of 620 mm. In addition, the large 410 mm door opening makes loading and unloading easier during everyday operation.

Hardmount Construction for Marine Applications

The RX105 features a rigid-mounted design developed for demanding professional laundry environments. Both the drum and tub are manufactured from stainless steel, supporting durability during frequent operation.

Primus has also designed the machine to provide easy access to vital components from the front. Consequently, routine service and maintenance can remain practical even where space around the machine is limited.

With overall dimensions of 1225 × 750 × 785 mm (H × W × D), the RX105 combines professional capacity with a relatively compact installation footprint.

Up to 220 G Extraction

The RX105 operates at 46 rpm during washing. Standard extraction reaches 760 rpm and 200 G.

With Touch Control, extraction can reach 800 rpm and 220 G. This increased extraction force helps reduce residual moisture in the laundry before drying. Therefore, the subsequent drying process has less water to remove.

Cascade Drum Technology

Primus equips the RX105 with Cascade Drum technology. The cascading shape of the drum surface provides additional mechanical action during the wash process.

The drum design also supports effective water extraction while helping prevent linen from remaining tightly attached to the drum surface. This makes unloading easier after the cycle has finished.

High-Capacity Water Handling

High-capacity water inlets help the RX105 achieve efficient filling during wash cycles. The machine uses 3/4″ BSP water connections and supports water pressure from 100 to 800 kPa, while Primus recommends 300–500 kPa.

Furthermore, the large Ø76 mm drain valve offers a flow capacity of up to 210 litres per minute, supporting rapid drainage between stages of the washing process.

Flexible Touchscreen Control

The RX105 can be configured with XControl FLEX+, a fully programmable control system featuring a 7-inch touchscreen and customizable wash cycles.

The user-friendly interface includes operating instructions directly within the control system. Moreover, complete control content is available in 36 languages, making the interface practical for vessels with multinational crews.

Primus also offers XControl with 20 preset programs and memory for up to 99 programs. Alternatively, XTronic provides six programs, two cycle modifiers and imbalance detection.

Practical Detergent Management

A patented soap hopper supports convenient detergent handling and improves operator ergonomics during routine use.

For installations requiring automated detergent supply, the RX105 can also be configured with liquid soap connections and pumps. Other available options include a third water inlet, stainless steel front and side panels and an ECO configuration with a lower kW rating on request.

Electric or Steam Heating

The RX105 supports 3–7 kW electric heating and can also be supplied in a steam-heated configuration operating at 1–8 bar.

This flexibility makes it possible to select a configuration according to the utilities available onboard. The machine supports hot water temperatures up to 90°C.
