The Primus FX80 Marine Softmount Washer-Extractor is a compact professional washing solution with a 7.5 kg nominal capacity and high-speed 500 G extraction. Its combination of compact dimensions, durable construction and efficient water extraction makes it well suited to onboard laundries where available installation space and daily operating efficiency are important.

The FX80 features a stainless steel top, drum and tub, together with durable anthracite front and side panels. Meanwhile, easy front access to vital components helps simplify servicing and routine maintenance.

Compact 7.5 kg Washing Capacity

The FX80 provides a nominal washing capacity of 7.5 kg at a 1:10 loading ratio and up to 8.5 kg at a 1:9 loading ratio.

Its stainless steel inner drum provides 75 litres of volume with a diameter of 530 mm. In addition, the large door opening supports convenient loading and unloading during regular laundry operations.

This makes the FX80 a practical choice when professional washing performance is required within a relatively compact footprint.

500 G High-Speed Extraction

The FX80 reaches an extraction speed of 1298 rpm and a G-factor of 500.

High-speed extraction removes more residual moisture from the laundry before drying. As a result, textiles require less time and energy in the subsequent drying process.

This can improve overall laundry turnaround while helping reduce the energy requirements associated with drying.

Cascade Drum Technology

The patented Primus Cascade Drum combines efficient water extraction with additional mechanical action during washing.

Its specially shaped surface incorporates more perforations across the drum area. Therefore, water can leave the textiles efficiently during high-speed extraction. The cascading drum surface also creates additional mechanical action to support effective washing.

Furthermore, the drum design helps prevent linen from sticking excessively to the drum after extraction, making unloading easier for operators.

Flexible Laundry Control

The FX80 is available with XControl FLEX PLUS, featuring a fully programmable 7-inch touchscreen and customizable wash cycles.

Built-in operating instructions support straightforward daily use, while the control interface is available in 34 languages. Operators can also adapt programs to suit different textile and laundry requirements.

Alternative XControl and XTronic configurations are available, allowing the control system to be matched to the operational needs of the installation.

Smart and Efficient Operation

The FX range supports cloud-based laundry management, allowing machine information to be monitored as part of a connected professional laundry operation.

UltraBalance technology can adapt water and detergent requirements according to the actual wash load. Consequently, the machine can avoid unnecessary resource consumption when operating with partial loads.

Flexible Installation Options

The FX80 supports 3–9 kW electric heating, while a steam-heated version is also available for suitable installations.

Additional options include a stainless steel cabinet, liquid soap connection and pumps, water recovery kit, third water inlet and double door glass execution. A coin-operated configuration is also available.
