18 kg Professional Washing Capacity

The RX180 provides a nominal washing capacity of 18 kg at a 1:10 loading ratio and up to 20 kg at a 1:9 loading ratio.

Its stainless steel inner drum has a 180-litre volume and a diameter of 750 mm. Meanwhile, the extra-large 460 mm door opening makes loading and unloading straightforward for operators handling regular laundry loads onboard.

Hardmount Construction for Marine Applications

Primus designed the RX180 as a rigid-mounted hardmount washer-extractor for demanding professional laundry environments. The manufacturer specifically identifies the RX range as suitable for marine applications.

A stainless steel drum and tub provide a durable foundation for regular operation. In addition, technicians can access vital components from the front of the machine. This practical layout can simplify routine inspection and servicing where installation space is limited.

Up to 220 G Extraction

The RX180 operates at 690 rpm and 200 G in its standard configuration. When equipped with Touch Control, the machine can reach 725 rpm and 220 G.

The higher extraction force removes more moisture from the laundry before it enters the dryer. Therefore, the subsequent drying process has less retained water to remove, helping support an efficient overall laundry workflow.

Cascade Drum Technology

The RX180 incorporates Primus Cascade Drum technology. Its specially designed drum surface provides additional mechanical action during the wash process.

The cascading shape and perforation pattern support effective interaction between water, detergent and textiles. At the same time, the drum design contributes to efficient water extraction while helping make unloading straightforward after the cycle.

High-Capacity Water Handling

High-capacity water inlets help the RX180 fill efficiently and support shorter overall wash processes.

At a water pressure of 400 kPa, the machine provides an inlet flow capacity of 133 litres per minute. It also uses a large Ø76 mm drain valve with a specified flow capacity of 210 litres per minute.

These features help move water efficiently through the machine during intensive professional laundry operation.

Flexible Touchscreen Control

The RX180 is available with XControl FLEX+, a fully programmable control system with customizable cycles and a 7-inch touchscreen.

Its user-friendly interface includes operating instructions directly within the control. Furthermore, the complete control content is available in 36 languages, which can simplify everyday operation for multinational crews.

Other available control configurations include XControl with 15 preset programs and XTronic with six programs, two cycle modifiers and imbalance detection.

Flexible Heating and Electrical Configurations

The RX180 supports 12 or 18 kW electric heating. A steam-heated configuration is also available for installations with a suitable steam supply.

The RX range supports several electrical configurations, including:

The RX180 features a patented soap hopper designed to support practical detergent handling and improved operator ergonomics.

Liquid soap connections and pumps are also available as an option for installations using automated chemical dosing. Other available configurations include stainless steel front and side panels, steam heating, a third water inlet and an ECO version with a lower kW rating on request.
