The RX80 handles 7.5 kg at a 1:10 loading ratio and up to 8 kg at a 1:9 loading ratio.
Its stainless steel inner drum provides a volume of 75 litres and a diameter of 530 mm. In addition, the 330 mm door opening makes everyday loading and unloading straightforward.
The RX80 measures only 1115 × 660 × 785 mm (H × W × D). Therefore, it combines professional washing performance with a compact installation footprint.
Primus uses a stainless steel drum and tub for dependable operation. The machine also provides front access to vital components. This simplifies maintenance, especially where the available service space is limited.
The RX80 weighs 135 kg, making it the smallest and lightest model in the RX80–RX135 group.
The RX80 operates at 50 rpm during washing. Standard extraction reaches 820 rpm with a 200 G-factor.
With Touch Control, the machine can reach 865 rpm and 220 G. The higher extraction force removes more moisture from the laundry before drying. As a result, the dryer has less residual moisture to remove.
The Cascade Drum design adds mechanical action through the cascading shape of the drum surface.
More perforations across the drum surface support efficient water extraction. The design also helps keep linen from sticking heavily to the drum. Therefore, operators can unload laundry more easily after extraction.
High-capacity water inlets help reduce filling times and support efficient wash cycles. The RX80 uses 3/4″ BSP water connections and operates at water pressures from 100 to 800 kPa. Primus recommends a range of 300–500 kPa.
Furthermore, the Ø76 mm drain valve delivers a flow rate of up to 210 litres per minute. Primus specifies water consumption of 6.9 L/kg for the RX80.
Primus offers the RX80 with XControl FLEX+. This system features a fully programmable 7-inch touchscreen and customizable wash cycles.
The interface includes operating instructions and supports content in 36 languages. As a result, operators from different backgrounds can use the machine more easily.
Primus also offers XControl and XTronic alternatives. XControl includes 20 preset programs and memory for up to 99 programs. Meanwhile, XTronic provides six programs, two cycle modifiers and imbalance detection.
A patented soap hopper simplifies detergent handling and improves operator ergonomics.
Primus also offers liquid soap connections and pumps as an option. Other available configurations include stainless steel front and side panels, a third water inlet and coin operation. An ECO version with a lower kW rating is available on request.
The RX80 supports 3–7 kW electric heating. Alternatively, operators can select a steam heating configuration at 1–8 bar.
The machine supports hot water temperatures up to 90°C. Therefore, operators can adapt the RX80 to the utilities available within the laundry installation.
